# Subprocessors

This page lists the third-party service providers ("Subprocessors") that Nerd Notes uses to operate its platform, as referenced in our [General Privacy Policy](https://nerd-notes.com/privacy/) and [School Data Privacy Policy](https://nerd-notes.com/school-data-privacy/). It is reviewed and updated at least twice per year (January and July) and whenever our Subprocessors change.

## Subprocessors for School-provisioned accounts

These vendors may process Student Data collected through School-provisioned accounts. Each is contractually required to protect that data and may use it only to perform the services we ask of them.

| OpenAI | AI problem-solving and grading (submitted content only) | United States |
| Google (Gemini API) | AI quiz grading, chat, and feedback (submitted content only) | United States |
| Stripe | Billing for School purchases (no Student Data — School billing contact only) | United States |
| Titan (via Hostinger) and Google | Email services — sending and receiving Nerd Notes email, including support correspondence | United States |
| Google Analytics | Product usage analytics, configured without advertising features | United States |
| BunnyCDN | Course video storage and streaming | Not applicable — no Student Data stored |

Advertising and marketing vendors used on our public marketing website are **not** Subprocessors for School accounts and do not receive Student Data.

## Additional service providers for the general (consumer) platform

Individual (non-School) accounts are governed by our [General Privacy Policy](https://nerd-notes.com/privacy/), which permits these additional providers:
