Physics Tutor

Description

We’re looking for a dedicated and experienced Physics Tutor to join our team. As a tutor, you’ll play a key role in assisting students of various ages and learning levels to understand complex physics concepts. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about physics and enjoys helping others achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions in physics to students online.

  2. Prepare engaging lessons that meet each student’s individual learning needs.

  3. Monitor student performance and provide feedback for improvement.

  4. Utilize effective teaching strategies to explain complex physics concepts in an easy-to-understand manner. 

  5. Be able to solve AP Physics 1 multiple choice problems and FRQs and provide in-depth explanations. 
  6. Stay updated with latest developments in physics and education to ensure tutoring methods remain current and effective.

  7. Report on student progress to our team and, when necessary, to the students’ parents or guardians.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Physics, Education, or a closely related field, is wanted but not required. 

  2. For high schoolers and undergrads: an AP Physics 1 score of 5. Demonstration of in-depth understanding of core AP concepts.
  3. Proven experience as a tutor or teacher, with a focus on physics. 

  4. Superb reasoning skills and effective at explaining complex topics via simple analogy. 
  5. In-depth understanding of physics concepts and principles.

  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  7. Ability to explain complex concepts in an understandable, engaging manner.

  8. Patient and empathetic approach to tutoring.

Expectations:

Our Physics Tutor is expected to be dedicated, patient, and genuinely passionate about helping students succeed. They should be able to adapt their teaching strategies to cater to the unique learning needs of each student. In addition to a strong knowledge of physics, they should have a firm grasp of effective teaching methodologies and be able to apply these in their tutoring sessions. Most importantly, they should strive to create a supportive, engaging, and enriching learning environment for all students.

Time Commitment:

Up to 40 hours/week

Average Pay: 

$50 per hour for experienced tutors. 

$25-35 per hour for qualified high school tutors and college tutors.

Social Media Content Creator

Create high value content across multiple social media channels

Description

We are looking for a creative and talented Social Media Content Creator to join our team. You’ll play a pivotal role in our company’s online presence, creating engaging and educational content about physics across our various social media platforms. This is an exciting opportunity to engage with our online community and to help further our mission of making physics accessible and interesting to everyone.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conceptualize, design, and produce high-quality, engaging content for our social media platforms, including but not limited to, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube.

  2. Collaborate with the editorial and marketing team to plan our social media calendar, ensuring a steady stream of relevant content.

  3. Monitor trends in social media, physics education, and adapt content accordingly.

  4. Interact with users, respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments.

  5. Review analytics and create reports on key metrics.

  6. Assist in the development and management of social media marketing and influencer marketing strategy.

Qualifications:

  1. A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Physics, or related field.

  2. Proven work experience as a social media content creator, social media coordinator, or similar role.

  3. Proficient with photo/video editing software and graphic design tools.

  4. Excellent understanding of the different social media platforms and their nuances.

  5. Experience in community management and social media analytics.

  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  7. Passionate about physics and science communication.

Expectations:

We expect the Social Media Content Creator to be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends. They should have excellent communication skills and be able to express our company’s views creatively. A passion for physics, a knack for capturing online engagement, and a commitment to staying on the cutting edge of social media best practices are key for this role.

Course Creator

Description

We’re seeking an innovative and experienced Course Creator to join our team. This individual will be responsible for creating engaging and educational physics courses for our website. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and wants to make a significant impact in the world of physics learning. If you’ve already made a Physics or similar educational course, please reach out. 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop and update engaging physics courses based on curriculum standards and the latest research in physics and education.

  2. Collaborate with subject matter experts and instructional designers to ensure course content is accurate and meets the learning needs of our audience.

  3. Utilize multimedia technology and authoring tools to construct course materials.

  4. Conduct beta tests of new courses, gathering and implementing feedback for continuous improvement.

  5. Stay updated with the latest developments in physics and pedagogy to ensure the courses are relevant and up-to-date.

  6. Review user feedback and performance data to revise and improve course content.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Physics, Education, or a closely related field.

  2. Proven experience in course development, instructional design, or a related role.

  3. Proficient in learning management systems and eLearning course authoring tools.

  4. Knowledge of effective pedagogical methods in science education.

  5. Strong understanding of physics concepts and principles.

  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Expectations:

We expect our Course Creator to be passionate about physics and education. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of pedagogy and a knack for creating engaging and accessible content. They should be adaptable, staying on top of the latest developments in both physics and education, and be ready to adjust our courses to ensure they offer the most value to our users. In addition, they must be comfortable working in a collaborative environment, as they will be regularly coordinating with other team members and subject matter experts.

Graphic design and animations creator

Bringing physics to life through captivating visuals and dynamic animations.

Description

We are seeking a skilled Graphic Design and Animation Creator to join our team. This role will involve creating engaging graphics and animations to help explain complex physics concepts and promote our services. Whether you’re creating educational materials for our courses or developing unique ad creatives, your work will be essential in making physics accessible and exciting to our audience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the course creators, marketing team, and other stakeholders to design compelling graphics and animations that align with our educational content and promotional materials.

  2. Translate complex physics concepts into easy-to-understand visuals and animations.

  3. Ensure all graphics and animations are consistent with our brand guidelines and enhance the user experience.

  4. Review and revise designs based on feedback from stakeholders.

  5. Stay updated with latest trends and technologies in graphic design and animation.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Animation, or related field (wanted but not required)

  2. Proven experience in graphic design and animation, ideally in an educational or similar context.

  3. Proficiency in design and animation software, such as Adobe Creative Suite. 

  4. Proficiency in modern AI assisted design tools. 

  5. Excellent understanding of design principles and animation techniques.

  6. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others to realize a shared vision.

  7. An interest in physics and science communication would be beneficial.
