AP Physics C: E&M
13.6 Circuits with Capacitors and Inductors (LC Circuits)
An ideal LC circuit consists of an inductor with constant inductance \(L\) and an air-filled parallel-plate capacitor with plate area \(A\) and initial plate separation \(d\). The circuit oscillates with period \(T_1\). The plate separation is then increased to \(4d\) while keeping all other physical parameters of the circuit constant. What is the new period of oscillation \(T_2\) in terms of \(T_1\)?
