Today's lesson — kinematics graphs

We spent today on position-vs-time and velocity-vs-time graphs — specifically the relationship between slope, area, and what each one tells you about motion.

What Maya got right away

  • Reading constant velocity off a straight-line p-vs-t graph.
  • Identifying when an object is at rest vs. moving backward.
  • Switching between SI units without prompting.

What we'll keep working on

  • Treating the area under a v-vs-t curve as displacement, especially when the curve dips below the axis.
  • Choosing the right kinematic equation when acceleration isn't constant.

Nice work today — she's a few sessions away from this unit clicking fully. See you next Tuesday.
